The Word of God

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is relevant today as it was in days gone by.

The God-head

The Bible teaches that there is only one God who created the universe and all living things that exist in it. The deity of God is infinite, all powerful and all knowing. We believe in the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Spirit, all equal in divinity and holiness.

Salvation

The Bible teaches that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Since God is holy and is not able to allow sin into His heaven He provided a way of salvation through the death of his Son on the cross for our salvation. Salvation is a free gift, found in accepting in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. There is no other way of salvation. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2: 8-9)

Baptism

The Bible teaches that baptism is an act of obedience that follows after an individual’s salvation. It is not a requirement of salvation but an outward testimony of a person’s decision to follow Christ. We believe in baptism by immersion in water to signify one has been buried with Christ and risen again with Him. “Having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised with Him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised Him from the dead.” (Colossians 2:12)
